Key Responsibilities;
To provide, as a service to Plant/Project Managers. specialist knowledge, support and advice as necessary, to enable them to comply with statutory legislation and requirements as defined in the Licence Conditions/Authorisation Conditions (LC?AC) relevant to nuclear related activities carried out by, or on behalf of the Plant/Project Manager.
This post lies within the Nuclear Engineering Directorate

To prepare appropriate safety documentation, as required, relevant to specific plant, processes or modifications, in accordance with agreed standards as determined by relevant legislation, associated compliance documents and company guidance.

To be able to construct/check Quantified Risk Assessments including both deterministic and probabilistic methodologies, utilising the techniques of:

* Consequence Assessment
* Fault and Event Tree analysis
* Reliability Analysis
* Hazard Identification Studies

Qualifications and experience:

A Degree/HNC in relevant engineering or science discipline

Nuclear:

NFC
DSMTC
DNSP
HAZOP,FTA, Human Factors etc (as necessary)

Experience:

Experience in all aspects of the management and preparation of all categories of safety documentation for a nuclear installation

To be able to understand and apply as necessary Reliability assessment, Fault Tree Assessment, Hazop studies, Human Reliability Analysis and Radiological Consequence Assessment in the production of safety documents.
