Senior Safety Engineer

SENIOR SAFETY ENGINEER

PLYMOUTH

3 months - £40 - £42 PER HOUR
Senior Safety Engineer urgently required for contract opportunity, to start ASAP.

Successful candidates will assist in the preparation and development of Safety Case Reports and Formal Safety Assessments together with managing Hazard databases for RN surface ships, RN submarines, super-yachts and technical services but excluding those with nuclear implication.

Qualifications and Experience required:
A minimum of HNC in a relevant engineering discipline.
Knowledge of marine platforms in particular RN surface and sub surface vessels and commercial luxury vessels.
Must have completed the SSMO Safety Course.
Conversant with JSP 430 and Def-Stan 00-56
Good communication, interpersonal and IT skills are essential, as is the ability to liaise with all levels of staff, both internal and external authorities
To hold Incorporated Engineer status via an appropriate Institution, additionally membership of an appropriate Safety Institution would be an advantage.
