Senior RF Engineer

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline with 10+ years of experience or
- Master's Degree in an Engineering discipline and 6+ years of RF Experience

DESCRIPTION:

- The cable modem group develops Cable Modems and Gateway products for the consumer, enterprise and commercial market.
- Primary customers are retailers and cable companies who deploy the products to subscribers for Broadband Internet access applications.
- Responsible for leading the hardware development on cable modem WiFi enabled products from concept to production.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Experience in RF design, WiFi (802.11x), schematic generation and board layout, testing of prototypes, and introduction to factories for production.
- Design and test WiFi products with a focus on new product development.
- RF Immunity and emissions experience is essential.
- RF tuner design and WiFi wireless communications design for incorporation into cable modem products.
- Evaluate vendor reference designs for potential use in products.
- Lead engineering responsibilities from concept to production, covering the entire new product development cycle.
