Senior Resource Planning Manager

Our large corporate client is recruiting a Senior Resource Planning Manager to lead, direct and manage Resource Planning within Technical Services and Embedded Resource Managers within the functional streams across Technical Services. Manage the allocation of staff to projects across the Technical Services specialist resource pool.

1.Manage the relationship with the functional heads and Delivery Managers such that the needs of both the business and individuals are known and managed effectively
2.Lead the Resource Planning pillar of the Technical Services High Level People Plan
3.Define and implement effective consistent practice management processes
4.Manage the allocation of both permanent and contractor resource to fulfil business demand, whilst optimising utilisation levels
5.Support the development implementation of the Technical Services training and development plan
6.Develop professional Practices and technical learning and career paths
7.Support Technical Services recruitment, succession planning and talent management
8.Provide Technical Services specific induction and orientation to new employees
Develop and implement local administrative processes that fulfil Technical Services staff requirements and are aligned with corporate policies. Identify areas for process improvements

As the Senior resource Planning Manager to will be expected to have the following:
1.Significant experience and proven successful track record of operational resourcing models and practice management
2.Experience of all aspects of performance and reward management
3.Experience of setting and managing budgets and cost centres
4.Extensive experience of technical environments >500 staff
5.Demonstrable experience of an engineering discipline eg Project Management, product design, support etc.
6.Excellent interpersonal skills including highly effective written and verbal communication
7.Ability to communicate and present at all levels to executive level
8.Ability to influence at a strategic level including ability to formulate business strategies
