Senior Researcher - Behaviometrics - Brussels

A leading, global technology company is seeking a senior researcher to join a 5 people R&D team to deliver frictionless and continuous identity verification algorithms to be integrated into their products. The identity verification based on behaviometric algorithms will take input from sensors commonly available on mobile phone/wearables like accelerometer and PPG sensor. These behaviometric algorithms can identify people based on the way they walk (gait), the way they drive a car, on patterns in their blood volume pulse, etc.

The project targets researching new frictionless authentication technologies in order to create novel user experiences, and includes prototyping in order to validate the new ideas in practical use cases.

If the project is successful, there will be subsequent development projects for you to develop the technology further and bring the product level ready for integration into the products.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Master or PhD degree
- 2+ years of research activities in a company or university involving prototyping in software and preferably on a behaviometric related subject.
- Strong background in statistics
- Strong background in machine learning and deep learning on time series signals
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with generating ideas for patent creation

A background in behaviometrics and a knowledge of language like Python or Ruby are beneficial but not required.
