The Senior Research Technologist operates as an advanced-level research technologist by assisting the principal investigator in the Department of Pathology with the data collection and analysis for research projects related to myeloid development and leukemia. The specific focus of the lab will be on the characterization of signaling pathways important in leukemia development, such as the Notch pathway, both in hematopoietic cells and in the bone marrow microenvironment. A large emphasis of the laboratory will also be on using Next Generation Sequencing technologies to characterize and study myeloid leukemia. The technologist will conduct specific projects, maintain efficient laboratory operations, including ordering of lab supplies and reagents, and may assist in training other laboratory personnel.
