Senior Research Technologist,Hematology

The Senior Research Technologist in the Hematology Department will form part of a multi-disciplinary team developing critical production and analytical technology for the exciting field of gene therapy. The applicant will be responsible for assisting the Scientific Manager in development and analysis of viral particles and stable virus producing cell lines. We are looking for a candidate with experience with tissue culture, PCR, immunoblotting and nucleic acid electrophoresis techniques. The Senior Research Technologists properly conducts specific projects, maintains efficient laboratory operations and may assist in training other laboratory personnel. Performs other duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department. The successful applicant will join the St. Jude Vector Production & Development Shared Resource, and as part of that collaborative team will advance and improve the gene therapy program at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, one of the world leaders in this new therapeutic modality.
