St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, is one of the world's premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases. St. Jude is the first and only pediatric cancer center to be designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute. Children from all 50 states and from around the world have come through the doors of St. Jude for treatment, and thousands more around the world have benefited from the research conducted at St. Jude - research that is shared freely with the global medical community. St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatments that are not covered by insurance. No child is denied treatment because of a family's inability to pay.

Our lab investigates molecular mechanisms in epigenetic regulation of stem cell identity and functions. Stem cells are responsible for originating and maintaining most adult tissues in the human body. Over proliferation of stem cells can cause cancer, and under proliferation of stem cells leads to a variety of diseases such as tissue dystrophy, immuno-deficiency, and even death. We employ a multidisciplinary approach to determine how epigenetic factors regulate gene expression profiles to impact stem cell functions and how epigenetic dysfunction contributes to human diseases.

Currently we are seeking for a Senior Research Technologist to assist the principal investigator with the data collection and analysis for research projects. The Senior Research Technologist assumes the following responsibilities: to design and conduct his/her own projects, to maintain efficient laboratory operations, to keep accurate data records and notebook, to organize lab records and inventories, and to perform other duties as assigned or directed by the principal investigator.
