SENIOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO CA

- knowledge of immunology and/or oncology principles and experimental techniques
- Flow cytometry experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- We seek a highly motivated Research Associate/Senior Research Associate in Oncology Biomarker Development to contribute to biomarker/pharmacodynamic efforts in support of Oncology Immunotherapy pipeline.
- The incumbent will be responsible for the identification and development of molecular biomarkers that can be utilized to predict therapeutic outcome and/or support clinical development.
- Experimental strategies will include the application of state of the art molecular and genomic technologies to analyze immune cell populations in laboratory models and clinical samples.
- Specific responsibilities will include performing exploratory disease-oriented research, developing cutting edge assays for predictive and pharmacodynamic biomarkers, and working with novel genomic technologies.
- Processing and analysing clinical trial samples will also be part of the role.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Successful candidates must have a BS and/or MS degree and at least two (2) years of laboratory research experience (or equivalent) in either an academic or corporate environment.
- A general knowledge of immunology and/or oncology principles and experimental techniques, as well as proven, hands-on experience with molecular and cell biology (ie. immune cell culture) assay techniques is required.
- Flow cytometry experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity and hands-on experience developing biomarker assays would also be a plus.
- Candidates must demonstrate an ability to perform and analyze experiments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to succeed in a teamwork-oriented environment are a must.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- A B.S. or M.S. in Immunology, Biology, or similar.
