Senior Repair/Overhaul Engineer

We have a number of exciting contract Repair Engineer vacancies, working for one of the worlds-leading providers to the civil aerospace, defence aerospace, marine and energy and nuclear markets. The role will be for 6 months, Ansty (Coventry) based and is an opportunity to develop within a global organisation that has outstanding growth and future plans.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate's primary responsibility will be for the engineering processes around component repair for various aerospace engines. They will be working in an environment with basic machines and will be responsible for the machine processes and approaches. They will also be primarily responsible for measuring processes and repair schedules.

ESSENTIAL/REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL:

- Must have a strong engineering background and be familiar with general machining/manufacturing processes.
- Must be able to interpret complex repair schemes and drawings and understand how this influences repair route and measurement criteria.
- Experience within the aerospace arena.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- Experience of Gauge R&R (measuring), SAP and repair scheme development.
- Any CMM programming experience would be advantageous.
- Ideally be Degree qualified but HNC level with experience
