MY DUTIES:
-Developing, enhancing and maintaining and supporting existing actuarial/risk modeling applications written in Python / PySpark
-Interacting with analytical oriented user groups for requirements gathering
-Interact with IT professionals that support you in your analytical tool development
MY QUALIFICATIONS:
-High proficiency in Python and knowledge of the Python ecosystem
-Solid Object-Oriented and Functional Programming skills with good understanding of design patterns and principles
-Experience in agile software development and practices (TDD, Pair Programming, Refactoring,…)
-Experience with big data (Hadoop) and Apache Spark/PySpark is a big plus
-Experience with Linux using bash and exposure to Artifactory and Docker is a plus
-Relevant business experience in an international (re) insurance company or in financial sector with exposure to Pricing or Risk Modelling or Actuarial tools development
-Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience
-Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others in an international and global team
-Good communication skills
-Very good English skills
