Senior Quality Tester

Perform Quality Testing for multiple Consumer Data Products. Provide testing expertise for a number of applications to be tested on mobile devices. Role will include analysing requirements, writing test cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Requirements review - collaboration with analysts to update requirements where needed.
- Triage defects and report on defect impacts
- Troubleshoot defects for functional area of expertise.
- Troubleshoot non-defect issues that are blocking test progress.
- Subject Matter Expert in at least 1 functional area per application the tester works on
- Writing test cases from a variety of documentation types.
- Applies test expertise and experience to execute test plans, conduct negative/exception tests, verification, performance and regression testing
- Full understanding of all aspects of Defect life cycle.
- Understanding of structured SDLC environment
- Ability to train new testers on applications under test and processes
- Assign severity and priority to defects based on risk assessment.
- Script test cases QTP, UFT, SQL, Selenium, HTML, Ruby, JavaScript, Python, etc.
- Managing test assignments across test team.
- Assign severity and priority to defects based on risk assessment.
- Prepare reports/presentations when required.
- Some OT may be required.

SKILLS:

EXPERT SKILLS REQUIRED:

- 3-5 years in test case dev from 2 different sources
- Requirements review and analysis
- 3-5 years on all aspects of the Defect life cycle
- 3-5 years trouble-shooting software issues
- Defect Logging
- 3-5 years testing on multiple platforms
- 3-5 years testing in different methodologies
- At least 1 year leadership experience

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have deep understanding of SDLC and be able to apply concepts to applications to be tested.
- Prefer local candidates; not a remote position
- Must be able to manipulate hand-held device for 8+ hours per day.
