This is a 10-month contract opportunity with a potential to extend.Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Quality Management Analyst on a major Enterprise wide Implementation of Windows 7 and Office 2010.
The selected resources(s) will be responsible for the coordination of the Quality Management (QM) activities for a specific stream within this project. The resource(s) will be expected to follow the company QM processes and deliverables as part of the project delivery team and project management office.
Role and Responsibilities
The QM Analyst is expected to work with the QM Coordinator, project manager and project leads to proactively communicate and administer QM processes across all phases of the project.
Responsibilities will include:
- Establishing testing goals and objectives.
- Documentation of test strategy and test plans
- Sizing test effort, identifies tasks, and documents task for inclusion in the project plan and test plans
- Assessment of testing risk during planning and mitigating degree of risk going into production
- Tracks, monitors and oversees test planning and test execution activities across project phases.
- Provides day to day coordination to the testing group and escalate testing issues as appropriate.
- Test readiness reviews, status and progress reporting
- Manages the defect log and participates in triage and resolution activities
- Schedules and coordinates access to the appropriate test environments.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- A minimum of 7 years in a testing role using a Quality Assurance Software practices and minimum of 5 years in a coordination testing role.
- Experience in testing web applications
- Expertise in the field of test planning and test execution.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies.
- Experience with a variety of test management and defect management tools
- Strong critical thinking, analysis and problem solving skills combined with a positive, team based approach;
- The ability to work independently;
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Flexible work schedule is required to support work with offshore vendor
- Engineering, Computer Science or Business degree and/or recognized computer technology diploma.
- Previous Oil & Gas industry experience.
