*QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST NEEDED*

The Global Quality Assurance (GQA) group provides centralized testing and QA services for multiple platforms and products across the client enterprise. At the core of this massive revenue system is the client application which generates customer billing from the processing of transactions and other service interfaces. The accuracy and reliability of this complex environment is extremely crucial to operations of the company.

The successful candidate will bring an understanding of revenue billing processes, perhaps from large Telco or Utility experiences (OSS/BSS systems). The candidate will drive process maturity and seek to build new capabilities to maximize quality and efficiency in this important program. This position will have responsibility to oversee a number of 3rd party vendor activities around the world, delivering test plans, cases, and producing results. The successful candidate will also have a keen eye for automation opportunities and metrics capture that can drive efficiencies in our revenue billing QA processes in the future. The candidate must embrace teamwork and promote a culture of openness and flexibility with his/her business partners and the extended team. Communication skills are essential as direct engagement with business operations teams will be a significant part of the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead project activity in the Revenue Systems QA team, meeting commitments and ensuring that testing and QA activities comply with corporate policies and adhere to industry best practices.
- Understand cross-functional dependencies and collaborate with other teams to meet end-to-end quality goals.
- Understand product and platform dependencies and help define QA environment and infrastructure needs in the billing area.
- Guide team on multi-threaded project deliveries and mitigate quality risk exposure.
- Advise on day-to-day decisions involving billing QA, including estimating, scheduling, test planning, execution, and risk management.
- Foster partnerships with upstream and downstream teams including development, UAT, and user groups to ensure alignment and consistency in reducing product quality risk throughout the SDLC.
- Evaluate current procedures and practices and drive continuous improvement around processes and technical capabilities (ie automation strategies).
- Champion a metrics driven approach in all key process areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 10+ years of professional work experience, ideally 3+ in a revenue billing environment (ie OSS/BSS in the telco or utility space)
- Solid technical understanding of a Java application environment, an ETL environment, RDBMSs, and a BI/Analytical reporting environment
- Direct exposure to Microstrategy (MSTR), Ab Initio, Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) a plus
- Experience in leveraging onshore/offshore delivery centers and proven delivery experience with remote development teams
- Ability to deliver results on multiple projects in a complex, fast-moving environment
- Ability to generate creative and innovative solutions for QA challenges and constraints
- Solid understanding of Black Box and White Box testing, ETL/data flow testing, performance testing, test automation, requirements traceability and general QA process reporting
- Experience in Waterfall, RUP, iterative and Agile methodologies a strong plus
- Experience in using industry standard test management tools (eg Quality Center, Clearquest, JIRA) a strong plus

Duration of assignment is expected to be 12 months with possibility of extension.
