Senior QA Tester

Our client is a prominent West Coast financial company seeking a SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE TESTER for a 6 month contract. This is a hands-on senior position requiring strong SQL skills and ETL experience. We are looking for a seasoned, quality-minded, data warehousing professional to test extracts for the Marketing Data Mart.

PRIMARY TASKS

- Ensure all QA tickets have proper installation instructions and comprehensive QA requirements
- Design test cases from requirements and compose SQL queries for testing
- Execute test cases
- Communicate any issues from testing with dev team and assist in investigation
- Record all test cases and results in a testing document and store in ticket folder on shared drive
- Mediate all communication between QA team and dev team
- Manage all QA tickets on SharePoint
- Address ad hoc data concerns from business stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

- 5-7 years of enterprise-level QA testing/ETL development
- Excellent SQL skills required!
- Strong knowledge of the SQL Server and Teradata environments
- Strong knowledge of data analysis, test plans and test cases
- Strong knowledge of best practices around Data Warehousing and ETL development
- Good knowledge of financial/banking/marketing data
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a corporate environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
