Senior QA Lead (SAP SCM & Plant Maintenance)

This is an initial 6 month contract opportunity. Overview

Our client is seeking Senior Quality Assurance Leads for an SAP implementation. There are two requirements, and while they are QA leads, the selected resources will not be leading people, but rather will be the lead in the required business areas. This means that the selected resources must have ERP experience - preferably SAP SUPPLY CHAIN (SCM) or SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) experience.

Reporting to the Project QA Lead, the role of the Quality Assurance Lead is to facilitateand to Champion QA throughout the life cycle of the project. Role and Responsibilities

These positions are for the SAP re-implementation program so will involve doing lots of strategy, delivery, coordination, writing test cases, and traceability analysis using HP Quality Centre. Responsibilities include: - Plan, lead and monitor all QA/QC activities throughout the life cycle of the project for their respective stream
- Provide input into the Program QA Strategy. Ensure Business Test Plans are aligned to the overall approach and methodology
- Facilitate the identification and creation of Test Scenarios and scripts using HPQC; ensure testing correlates back to Business Requirements/Processes
- Lead and as required, educate Functional Business team members in the creation of Test Scenarios/Scripts
- Create detailed Test Schedules for Integration and UAT test cycles
- Manage testing resources (includes both functional business representatives, on and off-shore testing resources)
- Manage all Testing Activities, this includes but is not limited to: i) Tracking testing status to be able to communicate Test Coverage, in alignment with Program Approach ii) Monitoring defects/bugs for your stream iii) Escalate issues accordingly for prompt resolution iv) Manage/Coordinate Transports for your stream, as required v Compile metrics as required/defined by Program vi) Coordinate sign-off of each testing phase vii) Be aware of Auditensure appropriate correlation to test scripts
- Understand the data conversion approach, and be abreast of data needs for successful test execution, while being sensitive to the requirements around confidential data
- Be involved in the entire project life cycle process to ensure the quality of the final deliverables
- Participate in the development and management of a repository of test data to support testing efforts
- Provide progress reporting, defect tracking and risk assessments related to testing efforts
- Work with a very large team (both Onshore and Offshore locations)
- Ensure that all the QA activities are being executed properly. With lots of interfaces with the business streams, must make sure all the business processes are mapped properly
- Ensure that all the business processes that are developed in IP5 (Deloitte's version of ARIS) are mapped directly to what is captured in the tool (traceability is imperative)
- Must help identify all the exceptions and odd scenarios - do gap analysis or work arounds, and ensure those that have been identified are getting tested (make sure all the business processes are being tested)
- Coordinate the scheduling of testing
- Work with both the onshore and offshore teams to make sure all the test results are integrated.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
- College diploma or university degree in business or information systems
- Minimum of 10 years' related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 7 years' experience of contributing to the success of a range of midsize-to-large initiatives with above-average levels of complexity and business criticality
- Minimum of 7 years' experience leading medium to large multi-disciplinary teams, building a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management stakeholders
- Proven internal and external influencing skills at senior and executive management levels
- Prior experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst on a large ERP implementation project
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with IS in an oil and gas domain
