Senior QA Engineer - Contract

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- Analyze functional and technical system design for testability.
- DEVELOP AUTOMATED UI AND WEB SERVICE TEST SUITE.
- Execute automated/manual tests.
- Lead the coordination of iteration tests and any required regression tests on the team.
- Lead defect management tasks across QA team.
- Participate in test planning.
- Collaborate with project team resources.
- Mine and manipulate data to create system test data.
- Comply with and contribute to improvements in the team's agile practices.
- Participate in or lead defect triage and test status meetings.
- Is accountable for test coverage, mapping of requirements to test cases and end to end traceability (requirements/stories, test cases, defects).
- Mentor junior team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 6+ years of hands-on enterprise software QA engineering, analysis, and testing experience.
- Full project life cycle experience, including requirements gathering, design, development, system test, user acceptance testing.
- Experience with AGILE.
- Experience in testing traditional/responsively designed web applications and web services
- Experience with test management tools.
- Experience with ATDD/BDD a plus.
- Experience with writing SQL queries.
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

- Solid Understanding of Quality Assurance methods and best practices.
- Test Management Tools such as Quality Center.
- UI & web service testing tools such as SOAPUI, SOATEST, QTP, SELENIUM, FITNESSE.
