Senior QA Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Test Case Development.
- Test Case Execution.
- Review Requirements and technical documentation.
- Ensure test case traceability via HP QC or traceability Matrix.
- Adhere to company and project standards and guidelines.
- Accurate time accounting and reporting of own work.
- Properly escalate issues.
- Check/Review QA artifacts.
- System, Integration and support User Acceptance testing.
- This role is very hands-on.
- Will be responsible for managing multiple projects and the Junior QA consultant.
- Keeps eye on continuous improvement opportunities.

SKILLS:

SKILLS

- 8+ years of experience in QA.
- 2-4+ years as QA test lead.
- Experience testing in a Financial Organization a must.
- Experience testing Financials with Oracle and IBM TRIRGA is required.
- Experience working with Business Analysis to develop test scenarios.
- Test Case development experience.
- Expert with HP QC (All modules) at the admin level.
- Development experience with Defect Management Process required.
- Self-Starter.
- QA Test planning (test strategy and test plan).
- Experience developing QA test plans in MS Project.
- Experience reviewing requirements and technical documentation.
- Experience providing test case traceability.
- Experience using SQL.
- Experience working with Offshore resources.
- Experience working with developers and Business Analysis.
- QA Process improvement experience.
- Experience working with cross functional teams.
- Expert knowledge of software quality assurance and defining quality.
- Good knowledge of SDLC (software development life cycle) and the process tools.
- Working knowledge QTP automation use.
- Good industry trends awareness.
- Good knowledge of Test Case estimation techniques.
- Good knowledge of release management.
- Excellent communication skills and focus on building positive relationships with clients.
- Time management skills.
- Good ability to anticipate issues and formulate remedial actions.
- Sound interpersonal and team working skills.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Easily adaptable to company culture.
- Need to be a self starter with the ability to be proactive and understand the big picture.
