Senior Project/Programme Manager - VME - Cobol - Microfocus

My client is currently looking for a Project/Programme Manager to be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of projects concerned with modernising ageing VME-R Cobol based IT systems, including the migration of all in-scope VME applications to new platforms, retirement of replaced VME applications, the replacement of all VME Middleware on which non-VME applications have reliance and in parallel reducing the running costs of the VME Platform.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

- Proven ability to work at pace managing the simultaneous delivery of a number of complex IT projects across a range of different technologies from diverse locations in major, complex, multi-supplier environments as well as in-house development environments
- An awareness of the issues involved in modernising ageing IT systems
- Knowledge of VME Cobol, Microfocus Cobol and Java
- Understanding of security requirements for data use
- Demonstrated experience of developing implementatioin plans and implementing into the live environments ensuring all service delivery standards are met.
