Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Manage the maintenance, ongoing review and budget management of the contract and procurement processes in a manner consistent with legislation, quality systems, processes, probity and controls
- Assist with requests for tenders and quotes, establishment of service provider panels, management of a comprehensive contracts register and participate in contract negotiations, including liaison with internal and external legal advisers
- Provide advice to business areas on best practice procurement and contract management processes
- Provide guidance to the Contract Administrator and cross-train other administrative support staff as appropriate
- Extensive experience in undertaking procurement and tendering, including development of project briefs and contracts (utilising existing templates) GOVERNMENT EXPERIENCE HIGHLY REGARDED
- Excellent written and oral communication, including the ability to work flexibly in small and medium sized teams and experience in conducting complex negotiations with suppliers and key stakeholders
