Senior Project Manager - Software and Development

An investment banking client has an urgent opening for a Senior Project Manager to work in the the Global Software Development Centre of the bank.

The candidate will be responsible for delivering the project against cost, schedule and quality.

Person Requirements
Qualifications /education:

Essential

*A Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Management or related discipline.

*An appropriate combination of education and directly related experience may satisfy this requirement.

Experience required:

*A minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering or related areas.

*A minimum of 4 years of experience in successfully managing projects in investment banking or related areas.

Essential

*Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within cost against a recognized project management methodology.

*Demonstrable blend of theory and practice.
Preferred

Detailed knowledge and experience with the following standards/models are desirable:
*Project Management Institute, PMBOK
*IEEE SWEBOK
*SEI Capability Maturity Model, (CMM).
*SEI Capability Maturity Model Integrated, (CMMI).
