Senior Project Manager - Performance

DESCRIPTION:

This is an Edinburgh based 9 month contract opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world.  The purpose of the role is to lead Performance Analysis based projects.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide or support high quality project delivery in line with the strategic objectives of the business.
- Provide lead input to the department's contribution to the business area's balanced score card.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the firm's clients and their Third Parties.
- Implement new business and business change to timescale, budget and to the requisite standard and quality.
-  Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with business colleagues in support of project delivery.
- Identify and mitigate project risks with an objective of zero defects once business transferred to the live environment.
- Manage any allocated resources  who are involved in the delivery of projects either within the Department or as a collective project team from across the business

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

- Project Management experience particularly in the area of multiple work streams.
- An in depth knowledge of Fund Performance
- Ability to analyse and document business requirements and onward communicate to the project team
- Detailed knowledge of the end to end process of producing, validating and delivering performance measurement results
- Experience in business and process analysis and re-engineering
- Experience of planning and delivery of business change initiatives through complete project life cycle
- Preferably educated to degree level
- Professional accountancy or performance measurement qualification or evidence of good working knowledge of accounting and performance principles.
- Project Management eg  Prince 2 useful.
