Summary:
As the Senior Project Manager of Infrastructure you will interface directly with the Systems and Technology leadership teams, technical teams, and facilities teams to manage the project plan to set up the infrastructure and facilities, joint ventures and new market expansions. You will manage a small to medium project staff and/or department. Projects are complex and have considerable difficulty, and often require twelve months to be completed. The ideal candidate has a comprehensive knowledge of assigned business function and technical skills and is recognized as an expert in a project area, and has had experience with onshore/offshore vendor models and has managed contracts and Statements of Work. Preference is that you have experience with Requests for Proposals (RFP's), Statements of Work (SOW's), and a strong ability to drive out and refine processes. You will need to have Network (Telecom included), Server, Desktop/Laptop, Printer experience/knowledge and be able to lead and direct teams to meet very tight timelines. You will also project manage the building of application environments. This is a 6 - 9 month contract with an opportunity to extend.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Directs and monitors project activity for an assigned functional area.
- Participates in meeting and task force activities to identify project goals, gains consensus on project steps, schedule and implementation procedures and estimates project costs; fosters cooperation and involvement from support team.
- Manage and mitigate risk throughout the life cycle of the projects as well as track and resolve open issues.
- Ensure hardware and network configurations are completed by key performers in a timely manner for each project phase.
- Ensure that hardware and software procurement and installation is completed as designed.
- Work with other project managers on the program to manage implementation and technical testing, manage pilot and business User Acceptance Testing, and manage production application cut-over with IT and business lines.
- Identify internal and/or external resources to ensure successful project completion.
- Prepare project status reports for distribution to stakeholders at various levels of the organization. Make alterations in project plan as needed.
- Assist with or prepare project implementation steps and documentation as appropriate; ensure a smooth implementation of project; resolve problems.
- Participate in training users as applicable.
- Participate in project evaluation against estimated plans and costs; provide continuing support and service as required.
- Manage performance of project team, and evaluate overall performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- A minimum of 8+ years of experience in project management with a demonstrated ability to perform business analysis, provide consulting, assist in problem resolution/escalation, and effectively interface with executive level management.
- Strong issue and risk management skills.
- Significant experience working with and infrastructure projects in an enterprise environment.
- Significant working knowledge of SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) phased structure of models and methodologies.
- Multi-tasking and management of concurrent sizable work assignments.
- Experience in managing projects based on a wide variety of enterprise technologies such as: various operating systems, development languages, platforms, midrange and Mainframe systems, and networking technologies.
- Program management experience is a strong preference.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial and capital markets is also a strong preference.
- Very proficient in use of MS Office tools such as Excel, Visio, Word, Project and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Bachelor's degree and equivalent work experience. Master's degree preferred.
