Senior Project Manager - Murex,Trading,Fixed Income,Credit- Sydney

THE COMPANY

Our client is one of Australia's leading and largest Financial Services Organization that has expanded its operations beyond the Australian shores. The organization has a large range of financial offerings to both public and private clients across the retail, corporate and institutional banking areas. They have a very large technical footprint that combine a dynamic range of technologies in an ultimately, highly complex landscape.

THE TEAM

This role sits within a newly formed team responsible for the implementation of cutting-edge trading technologies within the Fixed Income/credit/debt markets space. Comprised of developers, business analysts, SMEs, and testers, they're in charge of delivering a multi-million dollar project which will overhaul this bank's systems as well as implement its new and improved electronic trading platform.

THE ROLE

The role itself is heavily Embedded in the business and will require you to work very closely with Fixed Income traders, the sales team, risk, and product control, and the implementation team itself. The successful candidate will have a solid grounding in the Fixed Income domain. You will be required to author and take full ownership of multiple projects and manage internal and external stakeholders. You will be a doer, driving successful delivery of the project.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

- 7+ Years Project Management Experience - ideally from a banking background.
- EXPERT LEVEL understanding of the Fixed Income Product suite (Bonds/Rates/Risk/Credit) is absolutely essential.
- Trading Systems Project Management Experience - Murex/ION (preferred) or Calypso.
- Experience with large budgets and managing teams of 10+
- Excellent soft skills and communication ability - be able to speak to the business.
- Experience in estimating IT projects costs and timelines as well as and proposal and tender preparation.
- Experience in Vendor and Stakeholder Management
