SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - MARKET DATA MANAGEMENT, CHAT MESSAGING
I am currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to work on a 3 month extendable contract for a market leading client of mine in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The role is for a Senior Project manager with strong analytical (business and data) skills to work on high profile (bChat2) program. This program will develop the new Instant Messaging product to be deployed across my client globally (~200k users). This role will be responsible for the rollout of the client product to approximately 40000 users in the region of Africa.
DUTIES - - Liaise with the direct reports for each business area to confirm the rollout plans and dates.
- Manage stakeholders
- Ensure the correct communications and training are in place to support the rollout.
- Ensure the operational support model is in place and ready to support the rollouts.
- Create rollout plan for the area of responsibility.
REQUIREMENTS - - Strong management and business skills with history of working on large scale global programs
- Strong technical aptitude with history of working on Development projects (using either Waterfall and Agile methodology)
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Ability to communicate and present to Global project Manager and Steer co where appropriate.
- Strong attention to detail skills and ability to juggle multiple project streams
- Highly energetic individual who is passionate about quality and is driven by success
- Strong computer skills with advanced capabilities using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, MS Projects, Visio, Access
- Advanced manipulating excel to produce metrics, pivot tables, charts, etc
- Proficient with MSProject for plan creations/maintaining
- Proficient with MS Powerpoint for the creation of presentations
- Proven self-starter able to use initiative and innovative thinking
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of management
- Team Player
- Understanding of Instant messaging or XMPP technology and Architecture preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - - Excellent business and Data analytical skills
- Proven experience working on Global Programs with full development life cycle
- Proven ability to meet tight timelines
- Successfully manages delivery of both long and short term deadlines
