Senior Project Manager (Manufacture) Leeds £60k

The role of the Senior Project Manager will be to lead and develop a team of Project Managers and/or major projects, ensuring that projects are executed successfully, to agreed specification, scope, quality, lead-time & cost and ensuring the on-time deliver and achievement of budgeted margin & cash. Managing & driving multi-million pound global projects, the role of the Senior Project Manager is detailed below: Departmental:- - Setting objectives, targets and direction within the team, in line with company objectives - Mentorand support Project Manager and other Project Personnel, creating & executing personal development plans. - Develop departmental improvement projects / initiatives, and implement in a continuous improvement environment. Project:- - Clearly defining and communicating the scope of supply within the organisation. - Managing the project schedule, identifying the critical path issues and developing mitigation actions to ensure on-time delivery. - Project Risk Management, identification of risks and mitigation action plans. - Development of effective working relationships with Customers, being the central point of contact. - Leading a Project team of internal department members, the Project Manager will motivate, take accountability for actions taken and develop a team working approach". The Senior Project Manager should be degree qualified (within Engineering, Business and/or Supply Chain) and ideally have 5+ years experience in a project management role, as well as man-management experience. Possessing proven experience in continuous improvement projects, the Project Manager should also have experience in Oil & Gas / Heavy Engineering and/or Bespoke Machinery / Manufacture and also possess leadership skills to motivate colleagues and line reports to achieve on-time delivery".
