Senior Project Manager (Financial Crime Compliance/AML IT)

For our banking client in Zurich, we are looking for a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER (FINANCIAL CRIME COMPLIANCE/AML IT).

Duration: 6+ momths

Location: Zurich

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- 12+ years of experience in IT industry
- 8+ years of IT Project Management experience
- 4+ years of experience in Financial industry (preferably in Compliance-IT)
- Experience on an FCC tool like Oracle Mantas or Actimize
- Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
- Proactive, self-motivated and detail oriented
- Fluent in English language (spoken and written)

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- Experience in managing multiple projects, global business stakeholders and technology teams
- Ability to work closely with business and lead requirements elicitation, gap analysis, issue prioritization and resolution
- Exposure to audit planning and review sessions to ensure reasonableness of findings and management action plans
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and communicate effectively with senior management
- Ability to provide senior level reporting for IT projects, programs and operations
- Graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related subject, alternatively an equivalent education
- Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus
- Strong organization and administration skills, and ability to define and operate robust processes and procedures, and guide others in doing the same
- Passion for building and working within diverse teams and meritocratic culture
- Experience of vendor relationship management
- Strong understanding of, or the ability to quickly gain such, of applicable laws, regulations, and guidance in the subject area as well as the desire to keep up with changes in a complex environment

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Understanding of FCC concepts in several of the following areas:

o Transaction monitoring
o Risk Assessment
o KYC/CDD/EDD/OFAC
o Sanctions Screening
o Fraud
o Suspicious Activity Reporting
o Pattern analysis

- Strong technology background, with a focus on Risk and Compliance

This is a critical Senior Project Manager role to manage several key initiatives in Financial Crime Compliance (FCC)/AML - IT group of a Swiss bank. It requires extensive interaction with FCC business stakeholder to ensure compliance of risk management procedures, systems, and policies. A strong project management experience with an ability to manage multiple projects, building and mentoring global teams, managing user acceptance testing and providing effective and timely solutions to constantly evolving FCC business and regulatory needs.
