Senior Project Manager (f/m)
Harvey Nash is a worldwide leader in personnel recruitment; we support businesses and organisations in finding the right experts.
For our global client within the music industry we are looking for a Senior Project Manager on a freelance basis (f/m).
Project Start: asap
Duration: 12 months +
Location: Berlin
Tasks:
- Leads a team to deliver the Copyright development and data migration project on schedule and within budget, while satisfying customer requirements and specifications within the scope of the project.
- Responsible for the appropriateness, quality, and timeliness of all aspects of the project.
- Manages the production of project estimates and the project schedule.
- Establishes tracking measures and milestones, tracks ongoing project progress, controls the budget, and establishes a project office as required.
- Assembles the project team, selects and negotiates with subcontractors, assigns individual responsibilities, identifies appropriate project resources, and provides guidance and direction to project team members.
- Proactively manages risks, issues, budget, and scope throughout the project life-cycle.
- Prepares/presents project plans and status reports to the project board, project teams and client/customer groups.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
* Technology: Ensures that the technology solution addresses the customers requirements identified during the project life-cycle, while being deliverable within the projects time and budget constraints.
* People: Directs and motivates the project team, and establishes an effective climate for achieving positive working relations with other stakeholders (e.g. customers, subcontractors, and clients management).
* Customer: Acts as main point of contact with the customers and is responsible for communication outside the project. Understands customer goals and requirements and manages customer expectations and dependencies.
* Business: Understands both clients and the customers business context and how the project impacts both. Maintains an awareness of changing business needs and external influences, and recognizes their potential impact on project goals.
* Financial: Achieves contractual commitments related to quality, cost, and schedule. Facilitates the review of risks and develops appropriate risk mitigation plans. Oversees and is responsible for facility and hardware contracts, the accuracy of customer invoices, subcontractor invoice verification, and account receivable collections.
Skills:
* Degree in Computer Science, Business Computing or IT related subject.
* Project Management Certification (PMP, Prince 2) necessary.
* A proven track record in the delivery of complex software application development and systems integration projects.
* 7-10 years solid project management experience with recent projects valued at EUR 5m to
EUR 10m T&M and EUR 3m to EUR 5m fixed price delivered with tight timelines and cost constraints.
* Management of teams over 30, including multi-disciplinary IT specialists and virtual resources, expected.
* Experience in bid management, transition management and business transformation.
* Advanced Microsoft Project skills essential with a good understanding of project estimating and earned value calculations.
* Demonstrated success in managing complex project relationships, stakeholders and third party vendors with excellent inter-personal skills - politically and commercially savvy.
Language:
* Business Fluent in English, Fluent in German would be a plus
