Senior Project Manager, Ecommerce Job

SR TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Seattle, WA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Strong Project Management methodologies; both waterfall and Agile

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Manage resource assignment, budget, scheduling, and scope prioritization
- Work through trade-offs when there are competing business demands
- Act as single-point-of-contact and serve as primary liaison between Product Management, Creative Development, Technology and vendors (when appropriate)
- Work with cross discipline team members to validate project assumptions and review individual project plans with senior leadership
- Insure all projects within channel are staying on schedule and budget
- Act as primary escalation path for any project-related issues for assigned projects
- Responsible for leading projects to on time, on budget delivery
- Coordinate execution of the project across the Creative/User Experience, Technology, and Business Development teams
- Ensure proper documentation of scope of work with help from cross discipline functional leads
- Validate that scope can be completed within timeline and budget
- Develop the project plan and schedule with cross discipline functional leads
- Ensure necessary steps to complete project is accounted for in project plan
- Clearly organize and forecast deliverables and dependencies
- Ensure proactive scheduling of all aspects of the project delivery
- Manage the full life cycle of projects from requirements through launch
- Estimate resource needs with help from functional leads
- Manage day-to-day tasks and have in-depth involvement to allow for early identification of potential risks and issues in order to proactively mitigate impacts
- Manage project scope and execute change control when additional requests for features or functionality are made
- Elevate situations that may require Executive intervention
- Manage project risks, issues, and next steps to ensure quality delivery
- Ensure on-time project deliverables
- Provide weekly status reports and regular updates to leadership and executive team
- Confidently lead, motivate, influence and drive progress

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Four to seven (4-7) years of relevant work experience with an online retailer, project management
- Two - five (2-5) years Agile delivery experience
- Strong experience gathering and developing requirements from eCommerce solutions
- One - two (1-2) years Mobile Application (iOS, Android) delivery experience
- Minimum three (3) years of client management experience in successfully delivering Internet solutions, preferably in a global client-service organization
- Accountability for budget or client revenue of $3-5m
- Experienced multiple full life cycle software deliveries from business development to final software acceptance
- Led teams with multiple discipline representation (including technology, creative, SEO, analytics, and strategy)
- Proven accomplishment as a driver of multiple projects
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and able to juggle, shift gears and maintain a sense of humor
- Proven track record managing individual project budgets and budget roll-up of multiple projects
- Strong leader and decision maker with at least 4 years of experience in leading large, multidisciplinary Web site teams
- Practiced in the basics of project management (estimation, project planning, resource planning, issue management, risk management, change management, communication planning)
- Manage the full project life cycle from requirements to through launch
- Able to deliver under extreme deadlines and intense business environment
- Experience working with multiple creative and technical teams
- Excellent business communication, writing and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and solution-oriented when managing issues
- Comfortable when communicating with VP-level managers
- Practiced in negotiating with others in ways that result in win/win agreements and outcomes
- Capable of coaching/mentoring and conflict management
- Work both collaboratively and independently while maintaining a high level of productivity
- Must be able to work under tight timetables and pressure situations

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Business analysis and consulting experience is a plus
- Huge plus if you have managed User Experience teams
- Ideal candidate has worked in eCommerce, marketing, merchandising, or operations
