A high profile QLD State Government department is seeking a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER to be an integral part of a new and exciting project. This is an initial 5 month contract with the view to extend.

You will be responsible for the following:

- Manage the deliverables associated with the solution on time and within budget;
- Manage the replacement or upgrade of the department's current budget tool including the security and quality assurance processes of the delivered solution;
- Work closely with other stakeholders to ensure business requirements are captured;
- Manage the agreed scope and focus of the replacement or upgrade of the department's current budget tool;
- Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies associated with the replacement or upgrade of the department's current budget tool;

The successful candidate will possess the following skills/experience:

- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Manager and demonstrated understanding of Budgeting Tools (SAP BPC as an example) and associated technologies
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in project managing a large-scale Information Technology Project and full project management life cycle implementations.
- Business Analysis skills
- High level interpersonal and communication skills with particular emphasis in the areas of team collaboration, team mentoring, consultation, negotiation, influencing, conflict resolution and assertiveness in order to resolve issues and meet changing customer needs.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
