SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - AIRWORTHINESS - DEFENCE

This is a job opportunity within the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for a 10 month + contract position. It is also an excellent networking opportunity to move into different projects around the sites and develop your career/experience.

Your main duty will be to Lead, define, develop and implement an out of Service Date Extension programme to underwrite the airworthiness of Tucano, Vigilant and Viking aircraft.

DUTIES

Identify and validate the baseline modification standard of aircraft and individual aircraft status accordingly; plan for and review all Integrity Management activities with the Tucano and Glider Engineering Authorities (EAs) to ensure adequacy for airworthiness out to the extended OSD.

Plan for and review the Hazard Logs for the Tucano and Glider EAs and the Safety Manager.

With the TGSA Safety Manager, define, develop and produce the evidence required to support OSD extension within a Safety Case Report.

Plan and implement a review of the Release to Service in light of any recommendations from the OSD extension SCR.

Lead, define, develop and implement a LEP with the respective Design Organisations to underwrite the airworthiness of Tucano, Vigilant and Viking aircraft in accordance with RA 5724.

Define, plan and implement the analysis of all components to be included in the LEP using appropriate evidence and inputs from all relevant stakeholders (including the TAA, DO, maintenance organisation (MO).

Lead, define, develop and implement, if required, a AAA with the respective Design Organisations to underwrite the airworthiness of Tucano, Vigilant and Viking aircraft in accordance with RA 5723.

REQUIREMENTS

For this position you will a background working within either a Private sector defence organisation, Government or the Ministry of Defence. You will need to understand airworthiness and any exposure to these aircrafts would be desirable.
