Our client has a requirement for a Senior Program Manager for a 6 Month Contract opportunity. This position is located in Vancouver, BC.

Role
The Senior Program Manager (SPM) oversees one or multiple high profile products in development.
The SPM is ultimately responsible for delivering the product on time and within budget while working with the Game Director and Development Manager to create the highest possible user experience. They are responsible for overseeing the creation of the production plan for the project, establishing milestones and overseeing the execution of this plan by prioritizing production deadlines, managing risks and reacting quickly to challenges. The SPM is also responsible for line management on the project team including professional development, mentoring and career guidance.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing one or multiple high profile products in development.
- Delivering the product on time and within budget.
- Working with the Game Director and Development Manager to create the highest possible user experience.
- Overseeing the creation of the production plan for the project, establishing milestones and overseeing the execution of this plan.
- Professional development, mentoring and career guidance of the project team.
Requirements or Qualifications
Qualified Candidates will have:
- Minimum 5 years of senior project management experience with IT based projects.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experience managing internal and external project teams.
- Strong project management leadership experience; an expert in taking a project from concept to delivery.
- Experience with business process re-engineering and leading production process best practices.
- Experience managing teams in excess of 20 developers.
- Extensive line management and mentoring experience.
- Experience shipping two AAA quality games a strong plus.
- Leadership experience
- Empowers team to problem solve at all times.
- Consistently removes obstacles for team.
- Directs resources and process towards vision.
- Resourceful and thoughtful in making decisions in a timely manner.
