Senior Project Manager

The requirement is for a Senior Project Manager to lead the Digitisation and Migration project. This is a large and complex project including procurement, contract management, and migration of data to a specified format.

As project manager you will exercise day to day oversight and control of the project leading and motivating the delivery teams and will assume responsibility for all day to day governance and decisions reporting to management.

During the contract the Programme Manager will assume responsibility for overall contract management and knowledge transfer activities the management and Programme Manager will provide day to day task management.

Key Skills:

Must have experience of successfully delivering projects which include:

o Procurement

o Contract Management

o Data Migration

o Digitisation of paper data

o Spatial data and mapping

* Must have experience of successfully managing delivery using 'Agile' management methodology within an over-arching Prince2 project environment
* Must understand the technical issues encountered within complex ICT and Business Change projects.
* Must have experience of delivering large scale projects with multiple and significantly differing works teams in dispersed locations
* Must understand current Government initiatives, policies and financial controls
* Experience of working with Government Digital Service would be an advantage
* Experience of working with spatial data would be an advantage;
* Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills
* Prince2 Qualified
* Proven ability to work at pace and with a sound record of delivery

The role can be based in Plymouth or Nottingham offices, however regular travel within England and Wales may be required.
