Senior Project Manager

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER to join our client in Charlotte, NC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supervises the project team in all aspects of project including requirement analysis, application design, project planning and scheduling.
- Effectively manages multiple small, medium, and large projects with simple to complex requirements including: directing consultants and affiliates; accurately evaluating workloads; effectively tracking and managing project variables; and effectively/efficiently managing all project resources.
- Prepares and/or directs the development of project documentation including project plans, application specifications, and project milestone sign-off documents.
- Ensures project adherence to budget through effective management of own/project team time and expenses as well as controlling project scope, schedule, and resources.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through quality work and effective communication throughout projects.
- Effectively prioritizes and accurately estimates tasks.
- Applies project experience, and exercises good judgment and creativity in directing project activities and resolving project-related issues and problems.
- Acts as a focal point for project issues and escalates when appropriate.
- Prepares presentation materials and communicates appropriately at senior levels within the organization.
- Tracks/ensures the submission of all project-related paperwork (including status reports, time sheets, etc.) by project team on time and in required format.
- Adheres strictly to all project forecasting and financial reporting requirements

Job Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- PMP Certification is preferred
- Requires a minimum of eight (8) or more years of experience in software development, software systems consulting and/or software implementation including project leadership and management.
- Requires moderate to advanced project management experience with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Requires experience managing projects with a distributed project team; including internal resources, external resources (onshore/offshore), and vendor coordination.
- Requires customer management skills for planning project, communication, resolving issues and maintaining relationships.
- Experience managing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Master Data Management (MDM) projects is preferred.
- Business/industry experience in financial services/wealth management is preferred.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Organized, independent, and self-motivated.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Projec.t
