Senior Project Manager

My client a leading multinational based in Limerick are currently looking to hire a Senior Project Manager to join their team on an initial 6 month contract
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in managing large and complex projects or programmes. This individual will provide comprehensive and extensive project management to stakeholders in defining and executing the programme. They will be able to identify and understand the stakeholders' needs, create the project charter, and assess the risk, assumptions and constraints. They will also be able to articulate strategic direction at the most senior levels regarding project or programme activities.
The role will have responsibility for interacting with business and technology areas, preparing and tracking programme/project plans, and senior level reporting.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Day to day management of entire project.
- Ensuring delivery of project within agreed timeframe and budget.
- Stakeholder management and project reporting.
- Ensuring optimisation of allocated and incoming project resources.
- Interfacing with other PMs/workstream leads, PMO and overall programme sponsors to maintain the highest levels of communication, ensure a cohesive programme structure, manage dependencies and minimise risk.
- Creation and utilisation of project management tools including project plan, RAID logs and resourcing schedules.
- Ensuring project governance in line with best practice, including cycle of meetings and working groups.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years business experience within financial services.
- Experience of transitioning clients from Legacy operational platforms onto new platforms.
- Experience in developing standards or best practices in project management.
- Skills in translating broad strategic intent into tactical plans and direction.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, conflict management and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership skills and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Demonstrates excellent experience in change initiatives, covering such areas as operations, IT and product development
