Senior Project Manager

My client is seeking a Senior Project Manager who has previous experience in business transformation projects using Prince2 methodology. The successful candidate will have superb communication skills, have immediate availability and extensive experience in Applications Delivery along with strong stakeholder management experience.

Role description:

- Provide leadership, oversight and management of the IT application delivery to ensure successful project outcomes
- Responsible for all facets of project management - scope, schedule, financials, resources, risk and issues, communications, vendor management and integration
- This role demands extensive liaison with business stakeholders and coordination of efforts across multiple cross-functional IT teams and/or third parties.

Essential skills:

- 5+ years in a Project Management role for Applications Delivery
- Ability to grasp the nuances of the business imperatives and drive towards successful outcomes
- Ability to bring a qualitative approach to the project management function Excellent co-ordination skills and experience working in collaborative teams and with stakeholders at all levels
- In depth understanding of IT application systems (web-based or otherwise) supporting business operations
- In depth understanding of the systems development life cycle - methodology, processes and artefacts (Waterfall or Iterative)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills ability to speak both business and technical terms
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working with ambiguity
- Competent in using MS Project
- Experience in business transformation projects
- Certification in PRINCE 2
