My client, based in Athlone, Ireland, has an urgent requirement for a Senior Project Engineer/Manager for an 18 month contract initially

THE SENIOR PROJECT LEAD ENGINEER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:

-

Leading teams in the successful execution of project programs identified as part of the site Project Hopper. These projects will be in several categories, including the following:, Material Changes/Re-qualification, New Process/Equipment Introduction, Process Innovation and Automation, Product Transfers/Feature Enhancement, Process Optimisation, Continuous Improvement ( OPEX )/Cost Reduction, Facilities, Maintenance and Energy, Compliance;

Leadership role in the development of Department strategic plans, aligned to overall site objectives;
-

Supporting the management and execution of Capital and Automation procurement, Opex, Material Obsolescence and Compliance programmes;
-

Championing the development & implementation of Project Management standard practices on site.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA FOR THE POSITION ARE:

Strong Project Management competency (PMBOK)
-

Technical knowledge of Automated Systems (Pneumatic, Electro-pneumatic, Robotic)
-

Strong competency in manufacturing processing and systems
-

Proven experience in successfully leading a cross-functional teams
-

Sound technical engineering approach to project management and problem solving
-

Analytical, data and systems driven
-

Competency in the use of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Techniques
-

Experience with MS Office, MS Project & Minitab
-

Committed and diligent, with a relentless drive for results

Approachable, flexible and team oriented

Organised and resourceful with excellent attention to detail and ability to get the job done
