Senior Project Engineer

Huxley Associates is proud to be working for an SME in the West Midlands that operates within the Automation industry. Their turnover last year was £6 million and they are on target for £8 million this year, with a headcount of just over 30. They are expanding into several areas including pharmaceuticals and logistics. They are a forward thinking company and work very niche markets with major blue chip clients. Their project sizes vary from £10,000 - £2.5 million. They are now seeking 3 Senior Project Engineers due to rapid growth from their award winning sales team. The Senior Project Engineer will have total engineering and commercial responsibility for projects from cradle to grave. Also having responsibility for hardware and software design, managing project expenditure and budgets whilst remaining compliant with ISO9001. Liaising with the purchasing department to ensure costs are kept low, manage the CAD and manufacturing activities. You will also be required to work closely with customers and commissioning as and when required. You will be reporting into the Engineering Director and will have huge scope for progression. Interested? We are looking for Senior Project Engineers who have experience of industrial drive and control systems, good working knowledge of variable speed drives, PLCs, SCADA/HMI. Has the ability to work individually and as part of team, whilst having extensive knowledge of project management. Experience of the following would be advantageous: Variable speed drives - AC, DC, Servo, Siemens, ABB, Rockwell, Control Techniques and SSD. PLC - Siemens S7 and Rockwell Control Logix. SCADA - Siemens WinCC, Rockwell RSView, IFix and InTouch. Fieldbus - Ethernet, Profibus and Modbus. The package on offer is circa £55,000 + £6,000 car allowance + 10% bonus.
