Senior Project Engineer

My client delivers services focusing on Subsea construction/IRM and varied offshore support services to the oil and gas industry around the world. Their main areas of expertise are in ROV Services, Project Engineering and Management and Construction Services and Installation, Repair and Maintenance Projects.

Examples of their work include deepwater IRM, SURF installation packages, subsea structure installation and decommissioning and abandonment.

They are currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer based in Aberdeen immediately.

As Senior Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

 Conceptual design and layouts.
 Design, fabrication and test activities.
 You may be required to manage a team of engineers in the position of Lead Engineer.
 Responsible for ensuring all items designed, manufactured, assembled and commissioned are fit for purpose.
 Supervise and responsible for activities assigned to Third Party Contractors.
 Identify and supervise all technical resources needed to complete the task.
 Assign and co-ordinate scopes of work, review work done and ensure each resource stays within assigned schedule and cost targets.
 Interface with CAD Services to assure that the drawing requirements and delivery schedules
 Perform any other duties as directed by the Project Manager.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is essential:
 Subsea Construction and / or IRM works
 DSV operations
 ROV operations
 Platform and / or FPSO works

Technical Knowledge in one or several of the following areas is essential:

 Working knowledge of Subsea / Topside installation techniques
 Equipment and methods
 Rigging & sea fastening
 Fabrication/construction methods, isolations and barriers and general subsea installation practices
