Programme Office Manager - 6 months - London - £600-700 per day

Our client is a tier one investment bank recruiting for Senior Programme Office Manager. The Programme office manager is responsible for ensuring cohesive, content rich, fit for audience programme status reporting is in place across the GB&M business, and that the governance forums established function well and are supported effectively by the Programme office.

Specifically this means:- Ensuring a consistent reporting of Global standards Foundation delivery and implementation across all geographies and Products so there is a consistent framework for assessing portfolio risk profile, existing and to be organization, governance and data remediation
 Coaching individual project managers and regional programme managers to ensure status reports are suitable for a broad and sometimes very senior audience
 Pro-actively working with the Senior Manager responsible for a major new initiative to ensure reporting overheads are minimized for staff and management, but that the right level of oversight and sign off is in place for key status reports and management communications on Programme status.
 Maintain and enforce programme governance, with clear responsibilities, deliverables and implementation timelines in particular where a joint delivery
 Identify and manage cross project dependencies associated with the regional deployments where a global activity stream (eg client selection, data, target operating model) needs to be aligned with the regional strategy
 To ensure projects meet internal quality standards.
 Compile Senior management reports as needed
 Build and Maintain a searchable and shareable knowledge repository for the programme, with where appropriate access controls around highly confidential or confidential information
 Develop KPI's for the Programme office team to ensure a process of continuous improvement and attainment is in place across the team

All applicants must have Financial Markets (Investment Banking or Asset/Wealth Management) experience along with the following:

Excellent track record in programme delivery, typically in both execution and coordination roles
 Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability of organisational planning, resource mobilisation and problem solving.
 Highly experienced in dealing with senior and executive sponsors and rationalising cross line of business priorities.
 Strong track record of business change programme delivery in a global, regional and local structure
 Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities.
 Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
 Ability to bring analytical rigour and structure and effective solutions to poorly-defined problems
 Strong communication skills - applicable through multiple channels (written, spoken, workshops, presentations)
 Proven capability as a programme management office leader in delivering large complex programmes
 Excellent track record in programme delivery, typically in both execution and coordination roles
