Senior Program Planner/Project Planner - risks, analyses, legal, matter management, e-billing
Tasks:
Own the integrated program/project plans, ensuring there is a consistent approach at all times (format, level of detail and content, reporting etc.)
Meet regularly with the program manager and project/workstream managers to ensure that the plan is accurate, that risks and issues are being actively managed and reported.
Review and qualify plans submitted or presented by suppliers or consultants, ensuring these reflect the standards and desired outcomes.
Define the integration and crossover points for the projects, identify/manage interdependencies within projects in a skillful and competent way. Provide analysis against the plan to identify conflicts, risks and issues (each project manager will be required to manage issues and risks associated with their own areas - this role will look at things from a program/holistic viewpoint)
Schedule and chair regular project review meetings to ensure that the implications of change, delays etc., are accurately reflected in the detailed plans at a project and workstream level
Report on the status of the overall plan to the program manager and other key resource groups and stakeholders (as directed by the program manager)
Demonstrate and promote professional project management according to the companies Business Change Methodology to successfully deliver projects as a reliable leader.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of change management.
Ensure adherence and use of companies project framework standards.
CRITICAL EXPERIENCE
At least 10 years practical experience of successfully managing complex projects and programs in challenging environments with multiple stakeholders and teams.
Expert level on MS Project with strong delivery experience (so as to be able to recognize when something just isn't right ).
Have the gravitas and capability to influence others in a particular approach or style
Prior experience of working within or with a Legal function would be desirable, as would experience of matter management and/or e-Billing concepts.
Experience with more specific methodologies like Prince 2 and MSP essential - leadership, facilitation, conflict management are key elements of this role.
Significant practical experience in successfully leading complex teams without direct line management authority; able to creatively motivate teams and keep them focused on project needs under stressful situations and when everybody is very highly loaded and involved in many different actives in different areas.
Think always a step ahead so that impact of potential scenarios which might affect a project is already considered before things happen. Have original plans built in a way that risks hitting the project do not affect major milestones whilst still maintaining a sense of urgency.
Broad business knowledge (organizational/functional understanding)
International experience working with large multinationals
University degree in a commercial/business or technical subject
Good command of the English language, both orally and in writing
Project: ASAP for 2-3 years!
