Senior Program Manager - Ediscovery/Legal IT

Description:
For the Legal IT Team of one of our clients - a major international bank headquartered in Zurich - we are looking for a Senior Program Manager with extensive experience in project/program management, preferably in a large financial organisation or in a large IT service provider in the financial sector.
The Legal IT Team delivers leading edge solutions to Group General Counsel and Group Investigations using state of the art software both from major vendors and in-house development.
Responsibilities:
- Drive and manage programs/projects and initiatives in Legal IT, in particular relating to eDiscovery processes and IT solutions
- You will be in charge of running programs having front-to-back responsibility for successful delivery. Own the full life cycle delivery and drive to completion within required budget, quality and timeline. Manage the programs in a transparent, structured and organized way
- Run meetings and workshops with stakeholders to elicit requirements.
- Communicate the status of programs/projects as well as relevant risks and issues to all stakeholders incl senior Business and IT stakeholders
- Coordinate and chair steering committee meetings and other governance forums
- Keep track of status, budgets, issues, risks, dependencies and benefits delivery of the program. Connect the dots across the individual projects. Facilitate resolution and escalation of issues as required
- Guide and mentor project managers and other team members
- Manage project budget and resourcing
- Great role in an international environment
- Long-term opportunity (expectation is also for you to stay long term). Opportunity to go permanent if desired.
- Good rate depending on experience
- This is a senior role, please note that we are also filling a project management role in the same area which is slightly less senior (ID: 170116)
Requirements:
- 10++ years of experience as a Program and Project Manager, preferably in a large financial organisation or in a large IT service provider in the financial sector
- Be a self-starter, show initiative and a very strong sense of ownership. Willing to take on accountability!
- Excellent stake holder management skills
- University degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in Legal IT and/or eDiscovery space is an advantage
- Experience gained as PM in Big4 firms is an advantage
- Combination of business and IT knowledge, ability to bridge the gap between the two
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Well structured, reliable and dedicated, ability to handle a significant number of dependencies.
- Team player with strong communication skills on all levels
- Experience with working in globally dispersed teams
- Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, etc) are a plus
- Fluency in English, German is a plus
