Senior Program Manager

Randstad Professionals is looking for a Senior Program Manager with strong experience in IT Security and Risk Management for their client in Basel.

Short description:

Prioritising, coordinating and managing ICT projects/ICT programs (a number of related projects with the same or similar objectives), taking into account the corporate strategy. Ensuring competent human resources are available in the area of ICT project management.

Main tasks:

- Prioritizing IT projects in collaboration with the responsible business units taking into account the business unit and company strategy and current state of understanding. Preparing and presenting the necessary information for the decision makers.
- Creating and maintaining the project portfolio in such a form that changes and their effects can immediately be identified and corrective actions implemented. Inform in a timely manner the participants and their management on all decisions and actions.
- Definition of standards Evaluate, implement and introduce suitable methods and tools for IT project and portfolio management.
- Define the form and reporting period for project information for an effective IT Project portfolio management strategy.
- Ensure that the information necessary needed for the qualitative and timely management of the project are available. Implement any corrective actions with suppliers (IT Project management)
- Evaluate the finalized project information. Document interdependent and overlapping resources (costs, personnel and system boundaries)
- Ensure that personnel development and coaching is implmented in the area of IT Project management.
- Ensure that project management guidelines, methods and tools and their implementation is adhered to in projects.

Requirements:

This position is located in Basel. We are seeking a strong leader with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate with senior IT leaders. The ideal candidate will also possess a proven track record managing IT work across multiple hosting platforms in a complex global environment. Program management, technical aptitude, and change management experience in a large global organization are key skill requirements. The role will require an ability to manage ambiguity, major issues and key decisions across multiple projects. In addition to outstanding people skills, a demonstrated history of managing IT security initiatives is a mandatory requirement for candidate consideration.
