Senior Program Manager

Our client, a leading supplier of satellite and wireless communications products and services company is actively searching for a Sr. Program Manager to join their North Atlanta area operation. This is a Long Term Contract Opportunity (1+ year) with an excellent opportunity to join a top notch company.

The Sr. Program Manager will provide senior level Program Management support in the development of both satellite-based and terrestrial telecommunication systems. Systems include gateway earth stations, domestic networks, video/audio broadcast and rebroadcast stations worldwide. Responsible for assisting Sales in the award of system projects and in the management and execution of those projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

- Participates in customer presentations and commercial discussions
- Provides general program management support in the preparation of proposals or quotations
- Supports the contract negotiations of program orders
- Interfaces with customers in the execution of programs
- Accountable for all financial aspects of the program and program schedules
- Coordinates in-house and subcontractor resources on programs
- Plans shipments
- Coordinates and supervises (if appropriate) the on-site integration and commissioning of these systems
- Provides on-going customer service support

QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS Management or BS Engineering degree
- Minimum of five years experience in a project management role
- Working experience in the management of satellite or communications systems projects is preferred
- Proficiency with scheduling tools - MS Project, Primavera, or other Solution-oriented, multi-tasking, and self-motivated
- PMP Certification
