Location - Bristol
Length - 6 months (initially)
Daily Rate - £350-400

The Senior Procurement Officer (SPO) will lead on and support other team members in the areas of contract management and contract placement. The role provides commercial, value assurance and procurement support to the organisation whilst working closely with our outsourced service provider and other suppliers. The role will focus on software procurement and related support services. You will ensure that the organisation is delivering value for money for every pound that we spend.
You will be expected to develop and build strong relationships within the procurement network and other stakeholders within the organisation and other bodies.

The Team provides procurement, contract management, change control, value assurance and commercial support to organisation. Working closely with new suppliers and our outsourced service provider the team is essential to the delivery of sustainable value-for-money ICT solutions. The team focuses on supporting IT project delivery assisting budget holders in delivering value for money for every pound that we spend.

Experience/skills required:

- CIPS Qualified (MCIPS) or working towards MCIPS
- Experience in procurement and the contractual management of ICT contracts at all stages of the procurement life cycle from Business Needs Analysis through to Contract Award and Performance Management. This will include both operational services plus project-based ICT contracts; or experience in other complex, technical procurements/contracts.
- Will be competent and confident, through experience in crafting, negotiating and managing effective contractual mechanisms.
- Will have experience in presenting to stakeholders both within the organisation and with customer/supplier representatives and using these events to influence thinking.
