Senior Procurement Manager

I have a Central Government Client looking for a Senior Procurement Manager. The Senior Procurement Manager is a senior, specialist position within the Procurement Services Team that provides a bespoke non-clinical procurement service to my Client. The post holder is responsible for managing procurement processes and providing expert skills in support of contract negotiations. The post holder will manage large-scale and highly complex procurement projects.

They will also be responsible for planning and providing strategic direction and leadership for the major procurement projects of the Client in accordance with relevant legislation, EU Procurement Directives and Authority policies/standards. In executing this role, the post holder will be expected to use their technical and market knowledge to offer value and influence to the decision making process related to the Client commercial activities. The post holder will be expected to be an accomplished negotiator an effective communicator at all levels and highly motivated in meeting challenging deadlines and delivering outstanding service.

-Essential Experience:
- Excellent experience in working on high value projects and programmes
- MCIPS
- Prince 2 qualified
- Public sector procurement experience
- High levels of commercial management
- OJEU experience
- Knowledge of the Public Sector Contract Regulations 2015
- High levels of experience in Contract negotiations
- High levels of experience in Strategic procurement planning and delivery
