SENIOR PROCUREMENT ENGINEER - BAAN, PURCHASE ORDERS, DEFENCE SYSTEMS PROCUREMENT, SUPPLY CHAIN, PROCUREMENT

A Senior Procurement Engineer with BaaN, Purchase orders, Defence Systems Procurement, Supply Chain, Procurement experience is required to work on a twelve month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Preston

OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR PROCUREMENT ENGINEER CONTRACT ROLE

- To act as the Procurement representative in managing our clients managed spares and repairs Aircraft Systems Suppliers.
- Knowledge of Defence Systems Procurement is required.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE SENIOR PROCUREMENT ENGINEER

The individual will assume responsibility for the spares and repair order books, day to day duties will include:

- Management of Suppliers & liaison with Aircraft Supply Chain and Commercial to ensure order book(s) are kept topical.
- Expediting throughput with Suppliers
- Resolving problems with internal functions and suppliers that are blocking delivery of serviceable assets back to source.
- Ensure relevant repairs data is captured within RIDB (Repair Integrated Database) in order to enable the focussed Spares and Repairs Management and allow Aircraft Supply Chain to generate Performance Metrics
- Report status/progress into daily progress/operational reviews
- Supporting performance and improvement initiatives.
- Support Supplier Business Reviews

The role will also include Procurement specific activities including:

- Raising repair purchase orders on BaaN in compliance with Aircraft purchase order processes
- Raising RFQs (Request For Quotation)
- Invoice approval
- Identifying areas of risk and opportunities for improvement.

The role is based in Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds
