Senior Procurement Director

Our client is looking for a Senior Procurement Director to understand the benefits in transforming the current contract management activity undertaken and migrating the activity so as to have an increased focus on strategic and commercial delivery/outputs:

- Understand and map the as-is'
- What are the current issues
- What is the existing value delivery

This individual needs to be procurement security cleared, available immediately and must be happy to work in Cambridge 3 days per week.

The role involves the following:

- Infrastructure development of the Commercial Function - all aspects. This will include the Transformation of the function based on the wider CPS Transformation Programme to make sure we get the long term solution right/future proofed.
- Commercial ownership and further accounts (to be agreed following engagement) - includes accurate forecasting, cash flow, up-sell identification and management, WIP control etc
- People development - whilst we will evolve the commercial processes to create the right controls, the people within need to better understand commercial management. There will be a requirement to therefore work with staff to develop skills around upselling
- New Business - utilise your network for sales opportunities and supporting the Sales team where appropriate
