JOB TITLE: Senior Process Improvement Consultant

LOCATION: Largo, MD 20774

POSITION SPECIFICS TO HIGHLIGHT ON RESUME:

- Experience in the Healthcare Industry as it relates to your daily tasks.

PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION:

- The Senior Process Improvement Consultant will provided targeted process improvement support to two pharmacy teams with the objective of identifying and addressing root causes around low patient satisfaction ratings.
- This will include organizing, facilitating and leading key stakeholder in the organization to understand current state processes, identify and collect data to determine root causes, brainstorm potential solutions, and develop implementation/action plans.
- This will also include developing a sustainability plan to ensure ongoing success.
- The desired outcome of the effort is to increase patient satisfaction in the two indicated pharmacies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Facilitating meetings of key stakeholders
- Gathering and analysing data, workflows, and other relevant information
- Brainstorming and soliciting ideas for potential solutions
- Developing action/implementation plans
- Conducting process observations to understand current state
- Working effectively in a labor environment
- Transferring knowledge and best practices around process improvement to key stakeholders for sustainability
- Using and applying relevant Lean Six Sigma tools to conduct a thorough analysis of root causes
- Presenting findings and recommendations to operational leadership
- Partnering effectively with other internal process improvement resources

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

These are the MUST HAVE items. If a candidate does not have these they will be rejected.

- BA/BS Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Health Care or related field
- 7 years of advanced consulting and/or process improvement experience (health care environment preferred)
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
- 7 years' experience leading Six Sigma teams and conducting process improvement assessments in health care environment
- Experience with data gathering and analysis
- Experiencing leading diverse groups of stakeholders and effectively facilitating teams

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

These are things that we would like to see, but are NOT required to fill the position. These are NOT disqualifying items.

- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Health Care or related field
- Preferred 10 years of advanced Lean Six Sigma experience in a health care operational environment
- Deep knowledge of Health Care Operations (pharmacy preferred)
- Experience working in a labor environment
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools required (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Advanced knowledge of statistical software such as QI Macros, Chart Runner, Minitab, etc.

SKILLS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

- Advanced experience with Six Sigma or related Quality Improvement methodology required
- Advanced statistical knowledge
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills required
- Outstanding written and presentation skills required
- Exceptional analytical skills required
- Proven track record of leading/managing Lean Six Sigma teams

TRAVEL REQUIRED:

- You will split your time between the Largo and Capital Hills pharmacies
- You will go from one facility or the other on a given day so that will be considered a normal work commute and therefore not subject to reimbursement

STANDARD WORK HOURS:

- Primary work hours will be M-F 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- The position will also require some nights and weekend work
