Senior Process Engineer Job

A SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER needed for a long-term contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Durham, NC.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide technical support for ongoing commercial operations in the Parenteral Facility
- Lead process troubleshooting and deviation investigations; capable of leading complex troubleshooting and critical investigations with limited supervisor support.
- Participate in complex technology transfer projects to bring new products into the Parenteral Facility
- Lead less complex activities under supervisory or principal process engineer support;
- Prepare and implement change proposals for process improvements and new process implementations
- Provide mentoring for both Parenteral Commercial Operations and Parenteral Technical Operations staff
- Track and review critical parameter trends and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
- Drive cost savings and yield improvement initiatives
- Identify process improvements and optimization projects that will be critical for increasing the production throughput of the facility (reduce cycle time and increase process yields), while making capacity available for additional products in the Parenteral Facility
- Lead complex deviation investigations and implementation of corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs); ensures deviations and CAPAs are completed in a timely manner to support batch release requirements
- Review process trends, reliability data and process improvements
- Evaluate existing processes and develops new processes and process improvements to increase process yields and reduce cycle times
- Ensure that new processes and process improvements (including capital projects) are implemented in a timely manner and is compliant with all regulations

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BA/BS degree in chemical, mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of five (5+) years hands-on aseptic process engineering experience
- Must have background in pharmaceutical working for parenteral facilities.
- Broad and in-depth knowledge of relevant processes, equipment and facilities
- Knowledge and experience with barrier isolator technology, sterile operations or aseptic filling operations is required

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Preferred not required -experience in lean/six sigma and root cause identification processes (FMEA, etc.) and project management skills are strongly desired.
